Leclanché SA has introduced the XN50, a new type of lithium-ion battery that uses niobium and is designed for heavy-duty applications such as e-mobility and marine use.

This innovative battery is built using technology from Echion and boasts 50% more energy density compared to traditional lithium-titanate-oxide (LTO) batteries.

One of the standout features of the XN50 is its impressive lifespan, capable of handling more than 10,000 charge cycles, making it a reliable choice for long-term use. Additionally, it supports rapid charging, which is essential for high-demand situations.

Durability is another key advantage of the XN50. After 1,000 charge cycles, it shows only a 15% increase in resistance, indicating that it maintains its performance well over time.

Furthermore, this battery is environmentally friendly, utilizing a PFAS-free cathode formulation, which means it is safer for the planet.

Overall, the XN50 is a great option for industries and transportation sectors that require powerful, long-lasting, and sustainable energy solutions.

With its advanced features and eco-friendly design, the XN50 is set to revolutionize how we think about energy storage in heavy-duty applications.
